Privacy Policy

This page describes what Trustmark PropTech does with personal data today. It reflects how the product currently behaves and has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel; it may change as the product does.

Account data

When you sign up we store your e-mail address, phone number, role (buyer, seller or agent) and a hashed password. We use them to authenticate you, send a verification e-mail and a one-time code by text message to your phone, and to show your verification status. We also keep the devices signed in to your account (IP address and browser details) so you can review and sign them out on the Account page.

Listings, documents and messages

Sellers upload listing details, photos and ownership or identity documents, which reviewers check before a listing is published. Messages you send about a listing are stored so the other party can read them. Access is limited by role and administrative actions are logged.

Buyer activity and personalisation

For buyers, the app records activity on listings: time actively spent viewing a listing, and favourite and contact actions. Time-on-listing is only sent if you have switched personalisation on; with it off, only favourite and contact events are recorded. You can change this choice at any time in the buyer dashboard.

From this activity we derive:

  • an interest profile (for example the areas and property types you engage with), used for recommendations and the "For you" suggestions;
  • cohorts: groups of buyers with similar interests, used for "buyers like you" suggestions and shown only as aggregates;
  • a lead score for the listings you engage with. Scores weight recent activity more heavily (the weight halves roughly every 10 days) and count one view per listing per day.

Who sees your activity

If you contact a seller or agent about a listing, the listing owner can see you as a lead with its score. Your interest profile is shared with the lead owner only if you consented to personalisation. When a lead's score reaches 70, the lead owner receives an e-mail about it (at most once per lead every 30 days).

E-mail alerts

Alerts about listings matching your interests are sent by e-mail only if you turn them on. They are off by default.

Retention

Raw buyer activity events are deleted automatically by a nightly job once they are older than the retention period, 90 days by default. Account data is kept while your account exists.

Browser storage

We keep a few items in your browser's local and session storage (your personalisation choice, a short-lived buyer-activity queue and session id, the in-progress listing draft and a temporary sign-in step). See the Cookie Policy.

Requests

To ask about or request changes to your data, use the options on the Contact page.
